“”Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow””

Albert Einstein

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we present the 26th Annual Report of Isabella De Rosiz Public School, reflecting on the achievements and milestones of the academic year 2023–24.

The Annual Day Celebration, which also marked the grand finale of our Silver Jubilee Celebrations, was held on January 12, 2024, commencing at 5:00 PM. The formal function was presided over by Rev. Sr. Shalbi Pereppilly and inaugurated by Mrs. Chitra S. Nair. The event featured vibrant cultural performances by our students and a delightful stage performance by special guest Mr. Binu Adimali, whose wit and humor added charm to the evening. Outstanding students in academics and co-curricular activities were honored during the ceremony.

In the Class 10 CBSE Board Examination, 34 students appeared, and Chandana Shejil secured the top rank with 95%. Six students scored above 90%, ten above 80%, and eighteen above 60%, qualifying them for higher education.

As part of our social responsibility initiatives, students of Class 10, accompanied by PTA representatives, visited the Snehasneham Rehabilitation Centre in Thottuva on January 13, 2024. The center supports individuals with physical and mental challenges. Funds raised through the Food Court, organized by Class 10 during Sports Day and Annual Day, were donated to the center. Students also spent meaningful time interacting with the residents.

To promote learning beyond the classroom, a school tour was organized in February 2024:

UKG to Class 2 students visited Lulu Mall.

Classes 3 to 5 explored the Chavakkad Marine World.

Classes 6 to 9 experienced the natural beauty of Vagamon.

The academic year 2024–25 commenced on June 3 at 9:30 AM with a Holy Mass, welcoming around 160 new students to our school community.

A significant milestone was achieved when the school was upgraded to the Senior Secondary level. Our first Plus One batch, comprising 21 students, was warmly welcomed by the management, staff, and fellow students.

Fulfilling a long-cherished dream, a new playground was inaugurated on November 13, 2024, by former badminton player Mr. T.F. Joseph. A friendly match between the alumni team and Isabella’s Under-16 team was held to mark the occasion, with the alumni team emerging victorious.

Throughout the year, students were divided into houses and clubs to promote talents in both academics and co-curricular activities. Key programs included:

  • Environment Day
  • School Election
  • Investiture Ceremony
  • Isabellian Expo
  • Painting Competition
  • Reading Day
  • Independence Day
  • Onam Celebrations
  • Teachers’ Day
  • Isabellian Day & Fest
  • Children’s Day
  • Christmas Celebrations

The School Election, conducted on June 14, aimed at fostering democratic values and civic responsibility. Carol Marcelino Sijo was elected as Head Boy, and Avani Subhash as Head Girl.

Emphasizing experiential learning, the Isabellian Expo was organized by the Nature & Health Club and the Mathematics Club, demonstrating real-life applications of academic subjects. The Expo also formed part of the Environment Day celebrations.

A notable initiative was the “A Flower for Onam” project, in which students cultivated water spinach (Venti) in collaboration with Varapuzha Panchayat and the Agriculture Office, providing a hands-on learning experience.

To nurture artistic and literary skills, the Language Club organized the Isabellian Fest and Painting Competitions.

This year’s Sports Day was conducted with enthusiasm and energy, led by the Physical Education Department and Class 11 students, highlighting the importance of physical well-being.

Celebrations of national and cultural festivals such as Independence Day, Onam, and Children’s Day aimed to instill patriotism and appreciation for heritage. Teachers’ Day was marked by heartfelt tributes from students, while on Gandhi Jayanti, the invaluable contributions of the non-teaching staff were recognized.

To enhance teaching methodologies, our teachers participated in CBSE training programs focusing on experiential and competency-based learning.

Safety and career awareness sessions included:

A KSEB-led electrical safety session for students in collaboration with Varapuzha KSEB.

A career guidance seminar supported by the IAS Academy, Ernakulam.

Recognizing the need for parental involvement in a digital age, a Parenting Awareness Program, led by Mr. Sunil Kuruvilla and Mr. Jiji Varghese, was conducted and well-received by the parent community.

In a remarkable show of generosity and social commitment, our students contributed:

₹1 lakh towards Wayanad flood relief

₹3 lakhs to assist in medical treatment for fellow students.

Today, with 26 years of excellence, Isabella De Rosiz Public School proudly stands with over 1560 students and more than 100 teaching and non-teaching staff, steadfast in its mission to shape responsible citizens committed to their nation and families.

We offer our sincere gratitude to Almighty God, whose blessings, through the intercession of Blessed Mother Isabella, continue to guide and protect us.

With the permission of the Chairperson and all dignitaries present, I respectfully submit the Annual Report for the year 2024.
