Annual Report 2018 – 2019

Annual day celebrations of 2018-19 academic year begin with a common meeting on 15th December 2018. Esteemed guests were welcomed by teachers and students. Sri Sreekumar Mukhathala had been invited as the chief guest. Vice principal Vijayan N. M. introduced the chief guest. Annual report of the school was presented by Ms. Mary Clinda. She made the audience aware of the school achievements in academics and co-curricular arenas. He was given a floral welcome before he inaugurated the programme. 19th annual day celebrations were inaugurated by Sri Sreekumar Mukhathala (Akasavani Kochi). Very Rev. Fr. Sunil Kallarakkal OSJ was given the presidential address. Rev. Fr. Francis Glanson Aruja (Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Church, Thevarkad) , Sri K. S. Muhammed (President, Varapuzha Panchayath) , Smt. Elsamma Joy (ward member ) were given felicitation. Students who excelled in Scholastic and co Scholastic activities awarded prizes by the school manager Sr. Jiji. Vote of thanks was expressed by Ms. Megha Mathew(Staff Secretary). Variety of entertainment programmes were performed by students.

Achievements in board exam

Excellence in academic is the Hallmark of good Institution. Class X results of the school prove that without any doubt, our students have made as proud with 100% success. 29 students appeared in CBSE examination. Out of that one of the students Parvati Madhu achieved full A1 in all subjects, 2 students secured above 90% mark. 15 students got distinction and remaining 10 students achieved first class.

Staff and students

1100 students are studying in the school which was named after mother Isabella. 45 well trained teachers and 10 non teaching staff extending their service here. Working days begin from 9 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m. 8 periods and break time Are arranged in between.

2017-18 academic year began on 4th June with opening ceremony. 160 new students joined our school to mould themselves as a good citizen, with state of knowledge, moral attributes, spiritual insight, dedication and love for human beings. Holy mass was arranged for the students and the staff. Special cultural programmes were arranged to welcome the newcomers and sweets were distributed.

Nallappadam

In order to channelize our students energy into a world of charity, compassion, love and respect we started nallapadam unit in our school. It was inaugurated by P C Syriac on 8 July 2018. In connection with this, school was organized a training for students and parents for soap, umbrella, candle making and ornaments designing. To develop environmental awareness among students one study tour was organized to Suvarna udyanam (Nedumbassery) and Mangalavanam(Ernakulam) with the guidance of Mr. Varghese sir. We also inaugurated Balajanasakhyam with the support of Mr. R.Shenoy Sir.

Staff and students enrichment programme

To keeping with the school’s policy of continuous upgradation of knowledge and skills, our teachers attended various workshops and seminars. Teachers were sent for training, seminars, conference etc. conducted by the CBSE. To ensure that our students are equipped to face any challenge, the school organised different enrichment programmes.

School election and club inauguration

School election was held on 12th June 2017. Master Fikky Fermin was elected as the head boy and Delna Mary Biju as the head girl. The students of the school are divided into four different houses under the guidance of teachers from each house a Captain and vice captain was elected.

Various co- curricular activities are held under different clubs to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally to hone skills in co- scholastic area. Regular club activities are held in which the students participate and display there calibers. We had different clubs

Staff meeting

Every first Wednesday, staff meeting is conducted. It enables to develop a concrete relationship between the management and staff, progress and development of School by making necessary evaluation and correction.

Cultural celebrations

Christmas celebration was held on 22nd December2018. Fr Joby blessed on the occasion. Many competitions were conducted to mark the occasion.

Club activities

By providing a conductive and encouraging environment, the students are mentored to participate in a variety of intra and Inter school competitions. Important days such as Environmental day, Reading, Food, Mathematics and Language days were also celebrated.

Arts and sports fest

Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Annual Athletic Meet was inaugurated by Mr. Ranjith K. A. Students enthusiastically participated in various sports events. Food stall was arranged for the students.

Arts fest was inaugurated by professor Lily ( St. Xaviers College Aluva). A variety of offstage and stage items performed by the students from four different house groups.

Charity/ Social awareness

Social awareness activities involve students to recognize others feelings and show respect for them. With the help of School management, students were distributed study materials to those who has lost their belongings during the flood. Home appliances were also contributed. The lsabellians other than there cultural and academic activities, showed out their sociable and kind nature to the poor by collecting 3 lacs rupees. The money was given to the needy ones who well deserved help. Students, teachers and the management worked hand in hand for this.

Bon voyage

teachers and students expressed their sincere gratitude to principal Sr. Juliet . The seven years she had spent imparting the right skills and knowledge on to the students, promoting excellence in the educating sector , her vast wealth of experience in making quick decisions in a very hostile situation are remarkable. She is an achiever, open minded, generous, knowledgeable, modest, courageous, responsible and highly respected Principal.

Exhibition

Maths exhibition was conducted on the students came forward with new creative ideas and models on topics given separately for every class.

Study tour

As a part of study tour class IX and X went to Mysore on… The students of pre primary classes were Taken to Lulu Mall. While the students of class 3rd & 8th went to Wonderla on….. It was a day for excessive joy and exaltation.
